We here at Lansing City felt it was best to express Marco's personality and passion for the game of soccer through an email that he sent out to the twelve staff members of the USL League 2 team at their first all hands meeting two weeks ago. Take a look at what he said.

Loved meeting as a staff last night for the first time. It was great to all be in the same room with each other for the first time. Each of us have been working hard in different ways to build Lansing City, some even, since the very beginning! It is AMAZING to see that journey, first from a far, to then being a part of it myself and seeing up close, all the incredible and genuine people and the effort and passion that has been put in to make this dream into a vision into a reality of something we ACTUALLY get to do in real life. It's just seriously hard to believe and it hasn't quite hit me yet that it is real!
And now, we are here! It is a reality. We have the USL 2 platform, we have a venue, we have the facility, we have the branding, we have the staff, and most importantly, we have the players - we have signed 29 players from all over the world who come from different backgrounds and have different stories who all have the same two dreams - to play professional soccer and a desire to connect to others and be a part of something special that is bigger than themselves. This is why we are here - to lead and serve these young men. The long term vision of providing the real opportunity to develop professional players by creating an environment in the Lansing area all starts with our inaugural season in USL 2.
